Austin was a quiet and gentle man who became a friend during the time he spent with us. His quiet manner and good humour will be greatly missed by us and all who came to know him. Taken suddenly and far too soon I hope he will rest in peace. He will not be forgotten. Linda and Tony

Our Austin. We are devastated that you have been taken from us all far too soon. You were a much loved cousin to me and my brothers Kevin and Christopher and a much cherished nephew of your Uncle Alan and late Auntie Cathy. You had the driest wit of anyone we have known. Austin will be greatly missed in Smisby,a small village in the Midlands,where he was pretty much considered a local. He was well known for his sense of gentle humour and his love of Newcastle Utd. His family was always in his conversations . He'd lived a varied and interesting life,was well travelled and was a great conversationist. You've gone too soon Aust.
